Careers Veterinary Service in East Rockaway, NY

We are looking for a team player that is dependable, detail oriented, able to communicate well, multi task with accuracy and able to provide answers to client questions and provide information as needed. Must be trustworthy and compassionate with a strong work ethic. Unlicensed candidates with extensive experience will be considered.

Daily tasks include, but not limited to:

• Restrain animals during examinations
• Lifting animals (able to lift 30 pounds)
• Advocate for patients
• Calculate, administer, and monitor anesthesia
• Administer medications and vaccinations
• Place IV catheters, draw blood, etc
• Perform in-house lab work
• Familiar with radiology technique and positioning
• Help maintain cleanliness of the hospital
• Perform dental procedures including dental radiographs
• High level of proficiency with computers
• Be willing to mentor and train fellow team members

Veterinary Technicians must be licensed and in good standing or licensed eligible.
