Summer Shadow Program
If you are currently a veterinary student looking for a mentorship program while still earning money over the summer, we have an opportunity for you.
Our summer shadow program is open to students currently enrolled at an accredited college of veterinary medicine. Blocks are 2 to 4 weeks trying to give as many students a chance to participate. Our summer shadow program is a hired position outside of educational requirements. It is a summer program for enrolled DVM students to gain experience similar to a veterinary assistant with one-on-one mentorship from veterinarians.
The focus of our shadow program is mentoring veterinary students and helping them learn in a real-world general practice environment outside of the ivory tower. Work in the trenches alongside veterinarians with over 75 years of experience. Assist the doctor working up cases and preparing treatment plans. Assist in surgery, radiology, and more. The caseload is varied and will reflect the daily general practice model.
